By email

Email us from the address you used to sign up so we can verify the request.

  1. 1

Send an email to newwavemobileaps@gmail.com with the subject Citypedia — account deletion request.

  2. 2

We verify the request and email you back to confirm. Usually a few business days; the maximum is 30 days.

What gets deleted

These are removed from our active systems when we process your request.

  • Your account record — email address, name, profile photo and the other profile details you gave us
  • Your saved places and lists, including the notes, coordinates and photos attached to them
  • Place suggestions and edit reports you filed, including their photos
  • Your ratings, and the feedback you left on other ratings
  • Your likes and reports on place photos
  • Your sign-in sessions on our server

What we may keep

A few things sit outside an account deletion — because they live with a place rather than with you, because they're already anonymous, or because we're required to keep them.

Photos already published on a place

A photo you added to a public place is stored against that place, not against your account, so deleting the account does not find it. Tell us which ones are yours and we will remove them.

Edits already published to OpenStreetMap

A suggestion that was accepted becomes part of OpenStreetMap's own public history. That history is not ours to rewrite.

Aggregated, anonymous analytics

Usage stats that cannot be linked back to you (e.g. total daily users) remain in our analytics records.

Records we are required to keep by law

If applicable, financial or legal records may be retained for the period required by Danish/EU law, in a form that is not used for any other purpose.

Backups

Encrypted backups roll off automatically within 30 days. Your data will not be restored from them.
